Hello! This week as been very busy, as we have ended a sprint. The BSM RKRS polo shirts have arrived [pictured below], and the MarComm team has been working on distributing them to team members, as well as working on a list of grants to apply for, and the application for these grants.
Our MechE team has been working on the robotic arm design to complete tasks for RoboCup such as turning a door handle. These tasks will be crucial for completion while at RoboCup. They are also working on designing a hybrid gyroscope for a LIDAR system. Our TestOps team has been working with electrical components of the robot to attempt to figure out the power requirements. They are also engrossed in developing components for the new tread systems. The FabCon team has been working on developing new gears and calculating new gear ratios for the new treads, but once completed will work on gears for a timing belt. The Design team has been working on a new claw design to work with the robotic arm that the MechE team has been perfecting. They are also working on incorporating the gimbal with a LIDAR system, and making the gimbal electric. A huge step for the Programming team, and the rest of the squad, this week has been driving the robot for the first time [with a video below].
Have a good week!
